--- Title ---
"Ma liberté"

--- Singer ---
Alexia Waku

Alexia was born in a family of African diplomats and this explains why she spent the whole of her childhood and teenage years travelling all around the world. She was very much influenced by all the music styles of the foreign countries she visited: world music, gospel but also pop and dance.

Alexia started her professional music career as one of Ophélie Winter's backing singers and then on stage as a backing singer for Maurane and Axelle Red.

"Ma liberté" is her first single and is a hymn to joy and happiness, a disco house "bomb" in the tradition of "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor or also of the famous "Y.M.C.A" by Village People. This song was comoposed and produced by Guy Waku, Alexia's brother, and mixed by Fred Fraikin from G.S.P., the famous producer of Ophélie Winter, Mellowman, Jane Fostin, Moos and Tribal Jam.
