Lauranne

Lauranne comes from Neuchâtel, in the
French-speaking part of Switzerland. She has studied
singing at the Conservatory of her hometown. Then she went
to continue her music education in Paris and studied the
variété with a singing teacher who had formerly
trained France Gall, Michel Berger, Jean-Jacques Goldman,
etc... However she worked mainly as a singer of jazz
music.

In 1992 she met Bernard Jaquier (composer and
singer). They first took part in several contests and then
decided to release a CD: "Rendez-vous".
The "rendez-vous" with the public was successful with many
TV and radio shows and a concert tour.

In March 1998 Lauranne sang in front of 6,000 people,
during the 150th birthday of the Neuchâteloise Republic.
"J'ai rêvé"
was the anthem of 1998. The same year, she released her
second album, "Ose-moi", also composed by Bernard Jaquier,
which was very successful and unanimously acclaimed
by the press and appeared in practically all the play lists
of the local radios. Besides Lauranne was invited several
times to the TSR (Télévision Suisse Romande).

In 1999 Lauranne had the honour of signing with
EMI Switzerland for her first album under this label: "Envol"
came out in April 2000. On 29 January 2000 she
took part in the Swiss selection for the Eurovision Song
Contest and her song "Vous" finished at the third place.
